“Open the podcast door please, Hal…”
I want to share the happy news that my partner, science fiction writer, Spider Robinson, has just become a podcaster. Five episodes of the podcast “Spider On The Web” are already available either at the iTunes Store or at or . For the first 2 months he’ll be ‘casting twice a week, alternating between 8 essays about space and space travel he wrote while Writer In Residence at Vancouver’s HR MacMillan Space Centre, and 8 sample chapters from the Blackstone Audiobooks edition of VARIABLE STAR by Robert A. Heinlein and Spider Robinson….which just happens to be coming out in paperback at the end of November.
.
After that, he envisions a format with new posts every Friday.
-First Friday: Spider’s Futures. He’ll read one of his short stories.
-Second Friday: Spider’s Past. He’ll read aloud one of the Crazy Years columns.
-Third Friday: Spider’s Music. Original music, either live or from unreleased sources, with occasional help from his musical friends.
- Fourth Friday: Spider’s Present: He’ll rant or rhapsodize about whatever in the news has been most enraging or exciting (with occasional guest ranters).
Enjoy!

We’d love it, if you would do a review of our podcast ‘Out at The Center’ for the gay and lesbian section. Our latest episode has footage from the very first New York City gay pride march then called the Christopher Street Liberation Day March. The footage is narrated by members of SAGE.
